Choosing To Go Green

A Commitment to Environmental Responsibility

Planet Green was founded on the principle that responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship can - and should - work together.

Remanufacturing extends the usable life of inkjet cartridges that would otherwise enter the waste stream. By recovering, restoring, and returning cartridges to the market, we reduce material consumption and minimize the environmental footprint associated with single-use production.

Industry research has consistently shown that hundreds of millions of printer cartridges are discarded annually in the United States, despite the fact that most components can be recovered and reused through proper remanufacturing. The production of new cartridges requires petroleum-based plastics, metals, and energy-intensive manufacturing processes - resources that can be conserved through reuse.

By diverting empty cartridges from disposal and reintroducing them into circulation, remanufacturing:

  • Reduces plastic waste entering landfills
  • Conserves raw materials and petroleum-based inputs
  • Decreases the demand for new manufacturing
  • Supports a circular supply model rather than a linear “use and discard” system

At Planet Green, sustainability is not a marketing phrase. It is integrated into our operational decisions, procurement strategy, and manufacturing processes.

We believe responsible business requires measurable action - and remanufacturing remains one of the most practical ways to reduce environmental impact while maintaining product performance.

Operational Sustainability Practices

Environmental responsibility at Planet Green extends beyond remanufacturing. It is integrated into our facility operations, material sourcing, and regulatory compliance standards.

Energy Efficiency:

We continuously evaluate production workflows, equipment performance, and facility systems to reduce unnecessary energy consumption across our 30,000-square-foot operation.

Waste Reduction:

Material recovery is central to our business model. Internally, we implement recycling, reuse, and waste-reduction procedures throughout our warehouse and administrative operations to minimize disposal impact.

Water Conservation:

Water is an essential component of the remanufacturing process. We pursue ongoing process refinements to reduce water usage while maintaining strict quality control standards.

Responsible Packaging:

We prioritize reuse where possible and source packaging materials responsibly. Select product lines incorporate recycled-content packaging, helping reduce reliance on virgin materials.

Brand Alignment:

Our environmental commitment is reflected consistently across our operations — from product development and packaging to communications and brand positioning.

Regulatory Compliance:

Planet Green operates in accordance with applicable municipal and state regulations. Routine inspections and oversight from the City of Los Angeles Fire Department and Public Works authorities support our compliance framework.

Environmental stewardship is not a marketing initiative at Planet Green — it is embedded in our operational standards. By supporting remanufactured products, our partners participate in a circular supply model that reduces waste while maintaining product performance and commercial viability.
